Elliott Offers New International Certification Services

In response to client demand for management of international product certifications in markets outside of North America and the European Union, Elliott Laboratories is proud to announce the availability of a new suite of International Certification services. Over the years many of our clients have come to us with a wide range of questions and information requests related to approvals management in various markets around the world. We have heard these requests and now we have the solution in place! After spending a significant amount of time expanding our accreditations and building out our global network of 3rd party service agents we are ready to open the doors and assist our clients with these requirements.

The new Elliott International Certification services provide Product Certifications/Notifications and Standards Investigations for:

  • The Pan-Asian Region
  • South America
  • Eastern Europe
  • EU countries (for non-harmonized standards)
  • The Middle East
  • Other markets as requested

How does it work?

Simple. You have a product - perhaps it is a wireless access point or a 1U rackmount server - that your company has tested for compliance with North American or European Union standards. Now your company has decided to sell this product in Japan, Korea and Brazil. You have never sold your products in these markets before and you aren't familiar with the approvals process. You have spoken with other test labs but all they can do is refer you to third party service providers who have no past experience with your products and know nothing about its existing approvals. You have also heard that in-country testing may be required for approvals in some of these markets. Worse yet, no single service provider can work with multiple agents to assist you simultaneously with approvals in Asia and South America, so now you have to work with two or more service providers and act as the liaison and coordinator between them and the test lab where your previous testing has been done . What a headache...

Elliott Laboratories understands this challenge. That's why we provide a single point of contact for Program Management across every market/region where you intend to sell your products. We investigate the requirements and the approval path for each market you select. Our global network of agents will interact with the local regulatory bodies and in-country test labs on your behalf. And we manage the product certification process from start to finish, reducing your time to market and taking the hassles off of your hands.

A lot of test labs talk about "One Stop Shopping", but Elliott Laboratories, with the backing of our parent company National Technical Systems, truly provides all of your compliance engineering and global approvals services through one company. Stop running around in circles and contact us today to discuss your next project. We are here to help.

The FCC has announced that it has currently halted issuing new and any Class 2 Permissive Change certifications that require a DFS evaluation for Master devices until further notice. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) is currently investigating interference with UNII Master Devices and the FCC. Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS), a mechanism to allow unlicensed devices to share spectrum with existing radar systems is mandated in the 5250-5350 and 5470-5725 MHz UNII bands.

Elliott Laboratories continues to test Master devices and is currently awaiting on further updates from the FCC. For more information, please contact us via email at info@elliottlabs.com or at 408-245-7800.
